Immigration is a complex and sometimes subject, especially around the issue of jobs. British poet Hollie McNish speaks about it in a colorful spoken word poem called “Mathematics,” which she said she wrote based on regular rants heard while working in a clothing store.
The poem is a passionate story about the benefits of immigrants coming to a country and building its economy.
The moral of the story is that no matter where we are from that we need to practice something that we all learnt in kindergarten: RESPECT. Respect for others. Respect for ourselves. Respect for difference.
You Only Live Once so why not live a life with love for others as well as ourselves?
